Viet Thanh Nguyen, 2016 winner of the Pulitzer Prize for his novel The Sympathizer, attracted a crowd to the program Friends VP Robert Gordon organized on September 29.

Nguyen spoke about the novels that influenced his thinking and writing about Vietnamese immigrant and refugee experiences. For those that missed this great FREE talk, here are a few of the books he mentioned reading and re-reading: Invisible Man, Catch 22, and Journey to the Dark of the Night.
