The Friends are proud of the collaboration among Glendale Library, Arts & Culture, the Armenian American Museum Committee, and the Brand Library and Art Center in bringing Armenia: An Open Wound, Mexico City’s Museo Memoria Y Tolerancia [Museum of Memory & Tolerance] April 2015 exhibit in honor of the Armenian Genocide centenary, to Glendale, its international debut.

Docents are leading tours of the museum exhibit on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

An outstanding series of programs are scheduled during the exhibit, which began April 16, 2016 and runs through June 11, 2016. The complete schedule is here.

Next up: Latino Americans: Empire of Dreams, a film screening and discussion Thursday, May 5. Urban and cultural historian Jorge N. Leal will lead a conversation about the development of multi-ethnic and multi-racial communities in Los Angeles. Thanks to California State University, Northridge for making this event possible!
