Each fascinating event planned in conjunction with the international debut of the Museo Memoria y Tolerancia in Mexico City’s Armenia: An Open Wound exhibition at Brand Library and Art Center is featured on a commemorative bookmark – all eight bookmarks are available at the entrance to the exhibit. These are outstanding programs dealing with issues of human rights, refugees, history, culture and memory. Be sure to check out the calendar and attend as many as possible!

The bookmark promoting the May 25, 2016 One Book One Glendale program featuring author Nina Revoyr’s The Age of Dreaming is available now at all library locations! The program start time is 7 p.m., but come at 6:30 p.m. for the Friends General Membership Meeting and Board of Directors Election!

Congratulations to the winners of Glendale Library, Arts & Culture’s 2016 Bookmark Contest! Participants were asked to create a bookmark showing what the theme READ for the WIN means to them. READ for the WIN is also the 2016 Summer Reading Program theme. The Friends of the Glendale Public Library funds this program every year, and it serves more than 8,000 children, teens and adults in Glendale!

Bookmark contest winners will have their work reproduced and distributed at all Library, Arts & Culture locations during the Summer Reading Program from May 23 to July 30, 2016.
