Friends President Elise Kalfayan and Board member Rodica Mondocea visited the Glendale Federal Credit Union on April 13, 2016, to tell staff members what our organization is all about, answer their questions, and encourage them to tell new members about the work we are doing to support library programs and services.
The Glendale Federal Credit Union opens new accounts for those who are not with participating organizations by adding them as members of the Friends of the Glendale Public Library and paying their dues for the first year.
Memberships typically provide about half of our funding (book sales provide the other half). Memberships from the Glendale Federal Credit Union are half of our total membership. Doing the math: about 1/4 of our annual income is member dues from the credit union! On top of that, the Glendale Federal Credit Union is one of our Publisher’s Level business sponsors at $1,000 per year.
Thank you to our great Friend, the Glendale Federal Credit Union! If you are looking for a not-for-profit financial cooperative, higher dividends, lower loan rates and a broad range of financial products and services, visit them at their offices in downtown Glendale, or online at glendalefcu.org!
